Life is how you look at it |
Greetings from the front porch. There’s a certain kind of beauty and soul calming
on a rainy day. Yesterday having awoke
at 5:20am, the rocking chair outside beckoned.
So with coffee in hand I decided to forgo the noise of the world on the
tv news station and instead tune into the noise off my front porch. And I can say sipping a cup of joe, wrapped
up in a blanket, listening to the rain, the owls and birds is a form of pure
bliss. The air has a sweet scent and although
I can’t define it, I am guessing it’s from the blooming apple trees. Rain, coffee and nature are the perfect blend
of what I call contentment.
Sitting, sipping and watching everything in my view, I suddenly
noticed from my seat how the pine tree’s branches form a heart shaped view of
the scenery. I’ve lived here for 3 years
now and never noticed it before. I look at the different hues of greens that
surround me and send a note of thanks to the Creator for putting me into this
more than perfect place. Just where I
needed to be. I think back briefly to the road that lead me here. I don’t like to linger there as it was a hard
one filled with a lot of losses, but there were lessons to learn and experience
and get through this thick skull of mine. It was well worth the journey. And
the view from the end of the trail has it’ rewards. A heart and soul full of
contentment and knowing everything was worth it to get here.
And I came across the perfect saying and thought I’d share
Morning is God’s way of saying one more time, go make a difference, touch a heart, encourage a mind, inspire a soul and enjoy the day.
Happy Thursday! Oh
and if you haven’t already checked out the new Home and Harvest online edition,
please do. It a lot of inspiration and
words of beauty.
As always, thanks for stopping by and take care, be safe and
cease the day. All my best Gayle
